Extrapolating how long it takes to replace a population isn’t the relevant analysis. It’s always going to take approaching a century for people to come and go. During this time those people being born now in the UK would have children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren as parents born in the UK. It makes getting a high number of children born with more than one parent foreign born something that shouldn’t inherently grow with time. Getting to as high as 40% is absolutely incomprehensible. It shows that we are undergoing an unprecedented influx of immigrants who are of child bearing age. Immigrant population tends to cluster in local areas with the same cultural background meaning there have always been specific areas where a lot of the children have foreign born parents. That incredible 40% suggests that the “local” area is now all of the UK.
Yes. The Indo-Europeans replaced essentially all males and many of the females. Tough luck, oh Neolithic people. The IEs originated in the Steppes of Ukraine and Russia and pressed west pretty quickly, exterminating the males over much of Northern Europe. Especially in the British Isles.

When I read “foreign born” in an article, I have come to expect racism to follow. What is supposed to be the significance of “foreign born”? Apart from a dog-whistle?
