Those are two rather compelling examples of jobs that should be eliminated based on their titles alone.
Sometimes they do make it quite easy.
@JuliaM, ‘just’ and ‘competitive’ rub each other up the wrong way as well. At least, when you assume the leftie-bollocks definition of ‘just’, which is pathological equity.
Given they’re adjectives for ‘migration’, which by definition means abandoning some things in favour of some others, the whole thing sounds like a viper’s nest of contradictions.

Water is not thought of as a resource which is finite.
That is generally true. So what? Water covers 70% of the earth’s surface and all the screamed-about burning of fossil fuels merely increases the amount of water.
The earth has more water than we need, more than any forecast that has ever been made of our future needs, more than could be absorbed by vegetation of a new Carboniferous era if the CO2 in our atmosphere produced one.
There is no good reason to think of water as a resource that is finite (gaining political power is not a *good* reason). Drinking water in some places – the Israrelis tackled that decades ago but maybe no-one has told the EU Commissioner for water; various charities have used modern or intermediate technology to create sources of clean drinking water in Africa and Asia but the EU has had clean drinking water for generations – water for hydroelectric power generators in summer but Norway can still be relied upon to provide electricity to Denmark when it has a brown-out due to its over-reliance on unreliable wind …

If anything the finite resource is our ability to clean water and transport sufficient amounts of it it to the right place at the right time. That is also not a finite resource though as you can create more of this, if you didn’t piss away the money on diversity advisers and our wonderful bureucracy allowed it

If you are going to leech an exception lifestyle off the downtrodden masses then a strong protective carapace is needed. Green buzzword lunacy currently provides just that. how could you possibly get rid of the eco balance tree hug monitoring climate terror stabilising commisioner of planetary nice things? on 250k a year tax free and another 500k of perks and a massive fat pension.
Don’t forget there’s 27 countries in the EU which means 27 commissioners, so they have to find equally important sounding for all of them.
