The Girton graduate who was in charge of my second session of learning to programme (in my first long vac) was several years (probably more than a decade) older than Dame Steve

Last week I emailed the editor of The Register asking if they were going to run an obituary for Dame Steve.
He hasn’t even deigned to reply.
No acknowledgment of my submission of a Who, Me? either.
Indications of how far that site has fallen since the heady days when our host was a regular contributor.
