Oh, right!

‘He has trouble completing a thought’: bizarre public appearances again cast doubt on Trump’s mental acuity
Adam Gabbatt

And where were thee 6 and 5 and 4 and three and two years ago?

Oh, but that was Joe and Joe’s a D and that’s different is not the crushing argument you might think it is. It’s a common one, true enough, but not crushing.

Did Adam Gabbatt declare ol’ Joe “sharp as a tack”? I think we should be told.

It’ll be rotten luck for the USA if Trump is declining quickly: his rather harum-scarum radicalism is part of what the country needs.

The other part it needs is someone to do something about its debt mountain but I find it impossible to picture anyone getting elected on a platform of doing so.

So default it will be, eventually.

Wan’t TTK one of those that said Joe was “sharp as a tack”?

I don’t think half an hour with Joe would have left TTK looking like a goldfish who’d just had his tank drained…

What a bullshit article. When Biden wandered off stage to shake hands with ghosts he was shape as a tack; when Trump rambles he’s demented. But he’s always rambled, it’s either deliberate or just a quirk.

The specific examples they give are laughable, even if they are reporting them accurately which is at least doubtful.

Over the weekend Trump, during a meeting with the European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, abruptly switched from discussing immigration to saying this: “The other thing I say to Europe: we’ve – we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They’re killing us. They’re killing the beauty of our scenery.”

This is described as him ‘ranting unprompted about windmills’, as though you keep the POTUS to the topics you want to talk about and if he goes off script he’s mad.

I suppose to be fair to Guardian journalists, they are i) mostly following a script and ii) unused to talking to human beings.

This is just more evidence of how clueless they are when confronted by a politician speaking his mind, his mind being ‘But that cunt has got no clothes on!’

Adam Faggatt is a journalist.

I don’t know about you Blokes, but the only noises I want to hear from journalists are the funny ones when they’re caught at the Saudi embassy.

OK, use the 25th amendment. I wonder how they’ll like JD as president for eight years.

So this is what the Left are trying now – Trump is mentally unfit?

A Narrative being created in real time.

Interested – This is described as him ‘ranting unprompted about windmills’, as though you keep the POTUS to the topics you want to talk about and if he goes off script he’s mad.

The Faggatt also tries the shopworn technique of inserting snark such as “Trump claimed, without evidence”

As if President Trump is supposed to carry a bunch of scientific journals on him to prove windmills are expensive.

As if they’d listen to him if he did. (“Are they PEER REVIEWED by a conclave of Climate Experts, bigot?”)

As if pointing out the expense and uselessness of windmills is some crazy, wacky, let’s-all-run-around-with-our-dicks-out hilarious nonsequitur madness.

You don’t hate journalists enough, but you will. Because they’re scum.

You’re not allowed to point out that the usual suspects said nothing about sleep, creepy Joe’s mental decline. That’s whataboutism, apparently. You need to stay strictly focussed on Donald Trump’s supposed mental decline.

I will never forget the footage of a stumbling hildabeast being thrown into the back of a van like a sack of rubbish by her minders.

Nothing to see there either.

Am I unique in thinking that rambling old men with questionable mental faculties shouldn’t be making world changing decisions, regardless of the colour of their rosette?

But but but Biden… yeah, he should have been put out to pasture as well. D’s and R’s are collectively demonstrating they are old, divorced from reality, or cretins – and in some cases, all three.

Except that The Donald just wiped the floor with TTK, VdL, and the imams. Strange but true. He’s not finished yet and Carney will be next.

@ Andy T
Lenin, Stalin, Brezhnev, Mao, Kim, Hoxha, Ho all kept control until death. There are no records to reveal whether Lenin was gaga but the others all were to a noticeable degree.

Lenin was ga ga. He had been shot in the head in August 1918 and suffered a series of strokes, so he was in no position to take charge. The Soviet govt only admitted that the attempt had happened in 1922.

Stalin officially took over in 1928 but being General Secretary had been effectively in charge from Lenins death in 1923.
