But this is typical of something which I do think is a serious problem, which is the leftist hijacking of the language.
I know it is not a novel insight, nor surprising, but it’s a combination of the widespread near-banning of some ideas (or the expression thereof) by ‘the right’, and the apparent certainty of the morality of the left’s positions that allows them to plough ahead, taking many undecideds and weak minds with them.
Thus: if mothers in Essex march against the idea of thousands of unidentified and unidentifiable fighting age males arriving illegally by boat every week, from an entirely safe country, and being given housing in good hotels, mobile phones, food, money and entertainments, and then at least in some cases attacking and raping girls near those hotels, while government ministers publicly inform those girls and their mothers and the rest of the people who live nearby that the ‘human rights’ of the ‘migrants’ supersede their own human rights, this is a mob.
If the police bus in ‘anti-racists’ to yell abuse at those mothers and throw things at them, this is a ‘movement for justice’.
The untruth peppers everything these wankers say and do – in the above piece, the idea that ‘the state continues to listen to mobs while dismissing movements for justice’ is a disgusting lie.
The state has jailed people for tweets, has (as above) facilitated the ‘counter protests’, has told the local indigenes to fuck off, and has smeared everyone involved as ‘the far right’.
A cousin of mine whom I know to be intelligent (though easily led) informed me this week that Reform are ‘fascists’.
Since they are very clearly not fascists (they’re weak sauce dicks, in my opinion – not that I approve of actual fascism, which I do not) it can really only be the repetition of this defamation that leads the silly bugger to make such a claim.
Such repeated claims are a serious problem, because they do move people at the margins – perhaps a lot of people.
If Abdul goes on a march to express his desire to crush the Jews “from the river to the sea”, that’s a legitimate protest.
If Sharon goes on a march to express her desire not to be raped by an illegal immigrant who has a “sexual emergency”, candidly that’s racist and the police should put her in a cage.
