Whether it’s wholly true or not is another matter. But it’s very fun all the same.

When I worked with the US military some of my government contractor staff were furloughed when Obama had a shutdown. IIRC they didn’t get back pay.

I hope they do get sacked, but the argument will I guess be whether they get paid up to the formal sacking or whether it ends when the shutdown was declared.
