I think UK has around 5 ex colonies that are richer than the former master. Can Spain claim any? Or Portugal, Netherlands or France. Just an idle thought.

For some value of the word “colony” Bermuda and the Cayman Islands still are; half-a-dozen or 8 depending on your definitions.
