Sunrise Energy Metals (ASX: SRL) has successfully raised major capital with its latest share placement to fund pre-construction activities at the Syerston scandium project in NSW.
I’ve been saying that site is a npo goer for decades now. But, well, it’s decades now, right?
The Syerston project offers a new stable supply that can stimulate the use of scandium in a wider range of new technologies
That’s something I wrote in a reporty for that project decades ago. But it’s decades now, right?
Demand is expected to rise to more than 117tpa by 2026 due to the increased use of scandium-aluminium alloys and solid oxide fuel cells, according to NioCorp.
Niocorp’s a project I predict is going to go nowhere as there’s no chance at all of its volume – and or price – predictions coming true.
But look how wrong I am. Projects I think won’t work are raising money off the predictions of people I think are wrong. ‘Mazin’ stuff, eh?
“The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.” (JMK, natch)
Yup. Short selling is legal and feasible for private investors but in the face of irrational exuberance the margin calls will kill you. Look at LTCM to see how Nobel prize-winners can screw the pooch on this one.
For, as Spud continually reminds us, the rich save some of their income, the poor do not. This means that the rich are not income constrained in their consumption.
As usual I’ll be difficult & suggest a little caveat here. A lot of the rich I know save by buying assets, gearing up with loans. Or at least they have been during artificially low interest rates. Now they have repayments they have to meet & are finding themselves having to be frugal with consumption.
It’s like I advise my amigas. Just because that millionairio has an enormous villa with a pool & a shiny Mercedes sports doesn’t mean that he’s actually got any money he can spend on you. You may have more than he has.
What is the connection between NioCorp and Sunrise? I looked at some of NioCorp’s materials, and they don’t mention anything about operations in Aus – so why are they inserted into the middle of the story?
No connection at all. But Niocorp i trying topen a scandium mine. To do so they’re using wildly inflation prices and demands for Sc. And now Sunrise is using Niocorps wildly inflated numbers to justify their own.
