I always like these reports

Scientists have issued an urgent warning that some of the synthetic chemicals that help underpin the current food system are driving increased rates of cancer, neurodevelopmental conditions and infertility, while degrading the foundations of global agriculture.

The health burden from phthalates, bisphenols, pesticides and Pfas “forever chemicals” amounts to up to $2.2tn a year – roughly as much as the profits of the world’s 100 largest publicly listed companies, according to the report published on Wednesday.

Most ecosystem damage remains unpriced, they say, but even a narrow accounting of ecological impacts, taking into account agricultural losses and meeting water safety standards for Pfas and pesticides, implies a further cost of $640bn. There are also potential consequences for human demographics, with the report concluding that if exposure to endocrine disruptors such as bisphenols and phthalates persists at current rates, there could be between 200 million and 700 million fewer births between 2025 and 2100.

The biggest source of endocrine disruptors in modern societies’ water is women pissing out the byproducts of the pill. Strangely, no one ever does say women should have to pay for this pollution.

Well, I have done, a couple of times, and didn’t I get stick for having done so?

Every non-cancer illness that becomes treatable increases the rates of cancer. We are all living longer despite all the evil chemicals. We are having fewer births because we choose to avoid the inconvenience.

All these prohibitions that are supposed to reduce death rates. The last time I looked, the death rate all causes was one hundred per cent. We are healthier at any given age than our ancestors, and living higher quality lives. The relationship between evil chemicals and health appears to be inverse.

Just another scare story? That’s what the odds favour.

I wonder – is there any other recent medical intervention that might have caused these increased cancers etc?

rhoda klapp has already answered that: e.g. antibiotics (and antiseptic lotions) have dramatically reduced the death rate from sepsis (which killed my paternal grandmother) and similar causes.

I felt Interested was making an oblique reference to the covid bollocks.
Maybe I’m wrong.

Death rate from covid vaccinations was around one in ten millions so not enough to observe when looking at millions of cancer deathe every year

My paternal grandfather was shot by a German in 1915. There isn’t so much of that around nowadays.

Guardian bundles up junk science theories and tags them Scientists have issued an urgent warning.

Steve Milloy, junkscience.com, debunked all this stupidity years ago. It’s difficult to believe Guardian could be so ignorant; lying seems more likely.

The health burden from phthalates, bisphenols, pesticides and Pfas “forever chemicals” amounts to up to $2.2tn a year

Receipts? Got any receipts for this?

The report is the work of dozens of scientists from organisations including the Institute of Preventive Health, the Center for Environmental Health, Chemsec, and various universities in the US and UK, including the University of Sussex and Duke University.

The more scientists, the more true it is. That’s how science works.

Anyone know what ‘global public health’ is? Covid lockdowns?
