The Green Party is being sued by a former member who was suspended for mocking “fairy” pronouns.
Emma Bateman, who was co-chair of Green Party Women, was found to have breached diversity rules by making “clearly antagonistic” comments about “fae/faer” pronouns, a type of “neopronoun” inspired by the mythical world.
So, if you can believe this, the Green Party just got even dimmer the day they threw this lady out.

I’m inclined to agree. I fume at the term “gender critical” which is a bit like being told off by some Guardian reader that I’m a bastard for telling someone not to jump off a tall building because I’m “gravity critical”…

There’s a nice little YouTube vid of Psychiatrists attending a conference being asked how many patients they have cured. Not one of them said ‘one’.
Psychiatrists can’t cure you, a more realistic goal is to gently help you come to the understanding that this is something you’ll have to bear for the rest of your life.
I’m starting to think L Ron Hubbard had a point, but what else can be done? Talking is unlikely to cure anybody but it can still have therapeutic value.
My experience of people talking about their psychological problems is at the end they still have their problems but they feel even worse about them. They may even discover some more pschological problems to feel bad about. Because they enjoy having these problems. Their problems make them “special”. Talking about them just reinforces them.
