Again?

A gunman stormed a security checkpoint armed with “multiple weapons” in an apparent attempt to assassinate Donald Trump at a major event in Washington.

The US president was rushed off stage by his security detail after several gunshots rang out at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday.

Grainy footage released by Mr Trump showed the gunman, Cole Thomas Allen, from California, charging through a Secret Service checkpoint.

Agents drew their guns and managed to stop the suspect from reaching the ballroom entrance. One law enforcement officer was shot but was in “great shape”, Mr Trump said

Of course, it could have been the press he was after…..

It won’t do the press any harm to know they were that close to being collateral damage. There’s even a chance some of them might tone down the rhetoric but I’m not holding my breath.

They’ll just ramp up the pro gun control stories.

The multiple weapons were a shotgun a pistol and several knives, not what I’d choose for a political assassination, but just what I’d expect a Californian teacher to pick…

Maybe they were just what he could find around the house?

I suspect his thinking was that he would blast his way through the outer cordon with the shotgun, then discard it and hide somewhere Trump might be evacuated through. Of course, that assumes he knew what he was doing 🙂

Strange, all through the Obama presidency I heard endless ranting about how at risk he was from the “far right”. And yet, no actual shots were fired anywhere near him, despite many of his political opponents being great believers in the right to bear arms.

And Trump has seen three armed attacks in less than a year. How can this be?

“How can this be?” It could be a Bibi bonus, but would he dare?
(That’s if he’s still alive.)

Probably it’s just a pathetic nut case indoctrinated in leftie thought.
Not that we’ll ever find out.

What do you mean by “it could be a Bibi bonus”?

There are three main theories on why the present Israeli government has such disproportionate influence in US politics. The first is money: Trump doesn’t need campaign funds but presumably lots of the Republican contenders for Congress do.

The second is blackmail – the current fashion would be to refer to Epstein; the general accusation seems plausible to me, the Epstein one less so.

The third is the threat of assassination – I suppose it says something like “we have infiltrated the CIA, the FBI, the Secret Service, the Pentagon – you are not safe.” Then a wee reminder from time to time might be useful. This is the third in less than two years. The one in Pennsylvania reeked of “inside job” to me; the second less so; the third who knows? It’s a bit soon to guess. If he’s found dead in his cell, though, …

From Reuters: a U.S. State Department official document, dated April 24, 2026. Legal adviser Reed Rubinstein wrote the U.S. was “engaged in this conflict at the request of and in the collective self-defense of its Israeli ally, as well as …”

That seems to be an admission of Israeli influence.

The lefties projecting their own behaviour to denounce “the extreme right” for things most right-wingers had never thought of doing.

When did Yanks start saying “multiple” instead of several, or a few, or many?

I thought Americans had plunged the depths of abusing the English language when a successful sports team was lauded for “threepeating” the championship but nowadays I accept they’re finna go further.

At least we have the decency to pronounce the “R”s where they appear on the page.

Yes, my wife read similar comments (I don’t do social media).

I guess if it were, the Secret Service don’t mind one of their own getting shot as a consequence. And I don’t really believe that.

‘OK Da-Shawne, your role is to run through the armed security detail surrounding the President, armed with various deadly weapons. Don’t worry they’ll all be told not to shoot you, not on purpose anyway! Their aim isn’t that great, ha ha! So better cross your fingers! Assuming no one does fill you full of lead accidentally, you will then be arrested. Of course you’ll then be facing life in Federal prison, because we’re not going to be stupid enough to admit it was all a put up job. So you’ll probably never see the light of day again, one way or another.

Any questions?’

They don’t actually believe it’s a hoax, but after so many leftist scumbags faced consequences over publicly expressing delight and glee at the unprovoked murder of Charlie Kirk, this is how they express their hate.

Progressives are liars and murderers at heart, like their father, the Devil.

The footage of the incompetent security officers provides a blueprint for the next attacker. Take out the half-asleep security cordon first, and proceed to the target.

Looking at the footage of the actual charge the idjit made….

He had a pretty decent clip, from around the corner he appeared from, through accreditation table of the *first* cordon in slightly over a second.

Does help that the peeps usually manning such a station are generally not the Heavy Hitters, but the front-facing PR-approved bureaucrats.

The *real* cordon is further up the hallway, wearing proper kit, and just a short code-worded radio call away…

Which, if you actually *look* at what happens in the security footage, 2 people did instead of pulling their firearms, with the peeps at the sides already having pulled, *and holding their fire* while tracking before he passes the table…
Something, something line of fire/friendly fire…

If anything what you see there isn’t “half-asleep security officers” , but a good example of firearm proficiency and restraint.

Plus the Idjit was running straight into the Linebackers-on-Call… Good luck with *that* …

The Sky TV correspondent was saying he didn’t think security was tight. He’s been accredited, passed through metal detectors and had his face scanned umpteen times as well as constant CCTV and AI surveillance.

If he’d tried to make a rush at Trump he wouldn’t have got 5 paces, yet he thinks secure wasn’t tight. Bloody lightweights.

That seems to be the Narrative…. “Security was lighter than usual”…

It’s bloody hilarious, as all it tells me is that all those Journalists completely failed to notice that the …second line… was less obvious this time.

It’s not as if they weren’t *there* … The Service just had the opportunity to park them Out of Sight of the Public.
T’was a Gala Wiv The Pres’Dent after all… You keep the Goons keeping you Safe out of sight until needed…
And keep the Polite PR-positive Sheep Herders *in* Sight…

We will never know *what* the Idjit ran into , since it’s out of cam.
But the whole lot around the table *held their fire*.
If they were the Last Stop, the bloke would have been ground meat with the amount of guns aimed at him as he passed the table in the CCTV, let alone 2 seconds further down the corridor… with a shotgun, no less…
Not a Bloody Chance…. Which is *exactly* how that setup works.

Yep. These journalists would soon be writing stories about intrusive OTT security if they had been more than mildly inconvenienced by a receptionist and metal detector.
