Impressive, impressive

We get to fiftytwoothly:

If Andy Burnham is serious about becoming prime minister, then there are a series of questions he needs to answer before anyone can sensibly judge whether he offers a genuine alternative to the current government, or merely a different personality pursuing much the same agenda.

The questions need to go beyond personality, competence, or electability. They need to establish what he believes, what he would do, and how he understands the challenges the UK faces.

Here are 52 questions, including one final critical one, I would like him to answer.

And, of course, the man just about to take over the entire country is going to spend time respondiong to the Sage of Ely, right?

Toothly? Reminds me of when as a child my father was testing me on mental arithmetic. I got stuck at one point as I didn’t know what words you used to say 1/32. A thirtytooth? A thirtysecond? Neither sounded right in my head.

The dealers call that fraction a quarter of an eighth. Available for reasonable prices at mini-marts in Newport or so the bbc informs me.

Let’s suppose Burnham sat down and thought – one of the worlds leading experts has asked me 52 questions, I better drop everything and reply. His answers would never make it past the potato’s comments policy, he’d be directed to the taxing wealth report and sent to the camp to re-educate neoliberals

Also impressive that he got to 52 while not playing with a full deck.

There was a formulation I came up with for responding to some of the sillier comments on our design packages. “Not competent to review”. My project manager signed off on it and we never heard back from most of them.

Examples – “the boom gates are red and white, can they be dark grey to match the colour scheme?” No. “Can the antennas on the roof be hidden behind a metal screen?” Not if you want them to work.

I had to answer them but I didn’t have to take them seriously. I’m guessing that Ritchie’s questions would be an equal waste of time.

No questions needed.

Labour will pursue all the same policies, just with a different face up top.
Why? Because the policies are what gets the Labour party members (and especially their movers and shakers) excited.

Among other things, they won’t do anything about the rape gangs until they’re forced to. And then they will slow walk them. Because they are complicit. Some of them participated.

That was before he started campaigning. Since then he’s u-turned on any number of policies that will wind up the left, who are probably hoping he’s only said it for election purposes. If credible sources are to believed:

Shabana Mahmoud will stay at the Home Office and continue her immigration reforms. To the hard left she’s got Hitler tendencies.

He wants to issue new North Sea drilling licences, which will piss off the hard greenies and in the eyes of the hard left cause more defections.

Doesn’t want Miliband as Chancellor and there’s talk that he’s pissed off that Ed has let it be known that Andy only got it because of Ed. Even worse for Ed is the North Sea drilling and rumours that Burnham is considering pushing nett zero even further in to the future.

He’s recanted his “what do we need the bond markets for?” position and will stick to Reeve’s fiscal guidelines.

He’s still got to sort out the defence budget,

And then he’s going to have a load of ex ministers and and back benchers who didn’t get promoted back stabbing.

I give it a month at most before Spud goes ballistic and accuses Burnham of being a neo liberal.

Spud couldn’t go ballistic if he tried. That requires a large amount of energy. Going mental, perhaps.

Well, technically, he could go ballistic by falling off his rocking chair.

But from what people say about him, he might be already off his rocker.

Because he’s not actually hilarious. More, deeply sinister & as far as I’m aware Plum didn’t diverge into horror stories.

Ah… isn’t this the Spuddish setup for a long rant in a week or so how his Brilliance is being Ignored by the obviously Neo-Liberal™ poisoned cad who *dared* to not answer his “quite reasonable questions”?

Giving fuel to at least a month worth of Youtube exhortations and blog wibble he hopes to monetise?
Until the next Squirrel that looks at him funny comes along……

He’s pretty predictable like that…

Only needs 2
Q1) State control or personal responsibility?
To which the answer is known – state control
Therefore Q2) given that you are committed to making things worse, how much worse do you hope to make them?

If Spud didn’t have his head so far up his arse, he would not need to pose questions to determine this.

HmI do think his delusional self-importance is getting worse.

If he weren’t so odious to others, I might be worried.
