Before / during the election there were quite a lot of middle aged professionals who convinced themselves that Labour getting in would represent “the grown-ups being back in charge”. They remembered the (apparent) stability of the Blair years and, reasonably, had got sick of the public school sneak party stepping on rakes. They are/were mostly remoaners, with all that implies. So they swallowed all that rubbish about Labour being the new party of business. Sir Keir was One of Them, and would do a Good Job.
Presumably they’ve been disabused of that particular delusion, but there’s an alarming constituency of people who still think highly of Miliband. They’ve convinced themselves that everything would have been wonderful if he’d won in 2015 (because Brexit bad). They don’t really understand the damage he’s been doing at Energy. They’d have to understand what a clown he is if he became Chancellor though.
The schadenfreude of these smug pricks being totally wrong may be of some comfort as we huddle under underpasses, burning unsold copies of the New European for warmth and fighting the rats for crusts.
Oh, we’ll be arrested for fighting rats for crusts; it’s breaching their animal rights.

Miliband is definitely round he bend in a major way. The look that comes over his face when anyone presents him with a rational, logical argument about anything shows he’s too far gone to be out of a padded cell in a strait jacket with his ball gag in place…
The creators of Aardman films have been honoured today. But it’s not for Wallis and Grommet, it’s for their magnificent creation of Ed Miliband from a lump of grey plasticine.
Though if he could achieve Zero Money that would be an astounding achiovement considering how far we are currently into the negative.

On the plus side we will see the back of Hermer and lefties are going to get another mugging by reality when Miliband tries anything.
Its going to be a long, painful 3 years* to the next GE so we might as well have that time with the public learning yet again that socialist even when brought about by by a cheeky crappy from the north doesn’t work.
*There’s not going to be an early election, even with a Burnham Bounce around 100 Labour MPs are going to lose their seats which means at least 150 are living in fear of losing their seats. If they thought Burnham was going to call an early election they wouldn’t crown him.
Much truth in that. Being an MP guarantees about 100k income, more if the pension package is included. Who would want to give that up if you couldn’t earn similar in the private sector.
And yet, Josh Simons (former Makerfield MP) recently gave up 3 years income at that level. Who is compensating him for that, and where are they getting the money from? I’d be curious to know.
Josh Simons is quite bright and will disappear in to a well paid job in the think tank world or even international consulting. He was a researcher for Helen Thompson for some time and that in itself will open doors.
We may well look back on TTK fondly.
And Rachel from Accounts
Don’t you mean Rachel from Customer Complaints?

The inability to control his facial contortions does raise doubts about his cerebral competence overall.
Yup…
Yep. Miliband has done so well with money at Department of Zero Energy, why not put him in charge of all the money?
At the department of Zero Money?

Expect vermine in the near future
Yeah, you’ll probably have to call him Lord worthless scum before long.
