The reality is, as I know from several meetings with him over an extended period, Pat McFadden is a man of very little intelligence, and even less curiosity.
Yet these are the people Spud insists should have much more power.

Whenever the Spud breaks out in outbursts like this you start wondering where the Envy comes from…
So you check a bit and…. Ah…career politician who by all looks is…successful, and refuses to accept any of the Standard Stoopidity coming as Gospel Truth from the Seat of Ely…
Given his long career …might end up with Vermine as well….
So.. Everything Spud-boi hates….
I would think McFadden is a shoe-in for the HoL when the time comes. Unless he has any unsavoury skeletons.
He is the skeleton.
You’ll hear the seething hundreds of miles away if it happens.
… he didn’t agree with Murphy
… he stopped listening to Murphy
Is he related to N*c*l* St*rg**n?
“Being savaged by a dead sheep” comes to mind as an appropriate description of Murphy’s comment.
Murphy is a man of detail. In his latest doom laden video about the impending economic crisis he points out that “Oil is now settling at well over $100 a barrel”
Current prices. Brent Crude $94.14 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate $91.22 per barrel.
Am I alone in feeling the urge to punch Mcfadden in the chops every time I see his face?
And I don’t think it’s an insight of Nobel winning proportions to note that a labour politician is thick.
We now have a new definition of Chutzpah: Spud accusing someone else of a lack of curiosity.
Are we sure he’s not confusing McFadden with the face in the mirror in the bathroom when he’s brushing his teeth?
Spud can give it, but he certainly can’t take it.
Well McFadden is certainly one who should be at one of the lesser trials along the lines of Nuremberg that will be required as part of Reform’s administration but this is why he’s in the wrong apparently.
First, he does not believe in redistribution. So very typical of Labour, these days, then.
Second, he does not understand that taxes do not pay for anything.
Third, he does not understand that money is created by the government when it spends.
The redistribution of course from your pocket to Murphy’s
Taxes of course never fund anything – which is why the incessant desire to raise them for all and sundry.
So debt repayment of the magnitude of this government is creation of money
I think as the great Bongo said his hourly rate of earnings is around £2 per hour. He’s overpaid…
If you can create infinity money by spending why do you need redistribution? If taxes don’t pay for anything why have them?
Previously I thought he was just dumb but I’m coming round to the view of the learned of this parish who think he doesn’t believe any of this rubbish. It’s just grifting.
No, he is just dumb, otherwise he would be making a lot more money with his grift.
Here’s a chap who thinks the usual BiS complaint is misplaced.
“What have Rachel Reeeves, Yvette Cooper and Ed Miliband got in common? … these three all successfully completed the MSc Economics programme at the London School of Economics, but are prepared to sign up to policies which seem to fly in the face of economic reasoning.
The pass mark is probably 50%
..
That would be an improvement. Standard university pass mark is 40%.
