Big piece! All men’s fault!

In The Guardian!

I know, shocker, eh?

South African women were killed at a rate of 12.2 per 100,000 in 2022, nearly six times the global rate,

The male murder rate in S Africa is some 45 per 100,000. Three, nearly four, times as much.

The Commission for Gender Equality has called for an urgent safety audit of the affected areas.

Guess which rate the CGE is complaining about?

Nolethu Ndude is a South African social entrepreneur,

Being an entrepreneur means finding out what the audience wants then giving it to them. Which she’s done rather well with The G here, no?

Of course. Thats the equivalent of what they want elsewhere in society. Girlbosses, etc.

Thank you. I was waiting for somebody to notice.

Except that this rash of murders is localized, the national murder rate hasn’t budged at all. Just another day at the office.

What, pray, is a ‘social entrepreneur’?

Or money from stupid donors. I once had to interview the bloke who set up The Big Issue. Complete Progressive virtue-signalling grant farmer.

So the headline here should be

“The male murder rate in S Africa is some 45 per 100,000. Women most affected.”

If carried out in the right communities a murder rate of 50% or higher might not be an entirely bad thing.

What’s Going On

Marvin Gaye released that in 1971. Nothing since then has changed, except that Marvin was shot dead, by his father. What’s going on?

So Ndude is presenting as a woman? I didn’t think SA had swung that way…

I was always rather bewildered that the Afrikaners, who boasted endlessly about what tough nuts they were, meekly surrendered to American pressure just so that they could keep their cheap servants. (Or at least that’s my guess at what happened.)

Not sure why but I suspect that de Klerk genuinely thought he was doing the right thing.

How’s that working out?

Whites(not simply Afrikaners) saw an opportunity with the fall of the USSR (which had funded the ANC) to negotiate a deal. The gradual militarization of South Africa had become intolerable as white military callup of eighteen year boys extended from nine months sitting on the border Angola/Southwest Africa, keeping out stray militants to two years plus camps keeping the peace in black townships inside the country. This arrangement worked into mid2000s.

Women are already vigilant. We photograph number plates before entering vehicles. We share Uber details with friends. We phone one another while walking. We watch the driver’s route and notice every unexpected turn. We avoid certain roads, certain times and certain conversations. We scan parking areas before getting out of our cars. We check the back seat. We listen for footsteps. We carry pepper spray where we can. We hold our keys in a way that makes us feel slightly less defenceless.

The keys thing always makes me lol. The average man is as stronger than the average woman as a fully grown adult chimpanzee is to a man. Try fighting Bonzo with a set of keys and see what happens when he takes them off you and eats your face.

Bad men are dangerous, and the only thing that can stop them is good men or a snub-nosed revolver. But they’d rather make women suspicious and hateful of the men who could protect them, and turn crime into another gender war wedge issue, hence the ridiculous term “femicide”.

It kinda looks like those who traded security for freedom ended up with neither.

These cited rates are nearly identical for the black rates in US in the same time period, early 2020s.

Don’t know about now. Murder rate has dropped sharply with Trump 47. US statistics, compiled by CDC, trail 2-3 years.
