Far-right marches led by the self-styled “Danny Tommo” should not be treated like normal protests, the communities secretary, Angela Rayner, has said, calling the marches “intimidation” that should not be permitted.
Rayner said the behaviour of some masked marchers – who have blocked roads and transport hubs – was not an acceptable form of protest.
I’m wholly cool with the idea that certain forms of protest shouldn’t be allowed. Right against publicly torturing kittens to protest fossil fuels, for example. But if it’s the who is protesting, about what, then that’s problematic. Problematic to the point of fuck off, Honey.
Yes, yes, we’re all aware that everyone has some group they’d rather not see making their point. But that’s rather the point of allowing all to do so, see?
“Rayner said the marches were frightening local people.“
Local to where, exactly?
Meanwhile…Suffolk Coastal’s Labour MP, Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, has claimed that she is kept “awake at night” thinking about how the far-Right will weaponise the countryside at the next election by propagating a “far-Right fantasy” of “ale, pubs and black labradors…that never really existed”.
Yet pubs in her constituency are full of folk who enjoy ale and hold that Black Labs Matter. (The pub dog at the Bell in Walberswick is a black labrador.) She’s clueless, smug and vile…and she’s a SOAS graduate with an MA in Islamic history.
SOAS…. transliterates into dutch as “STD’s”….
So it *is* on the Label….
That’s so fun it just became a tweet…..
Very amusing. Please could you spell that out in cloggie?
SOA? Sociaal Overdraagbare Aandoening. The ‘S for “multiple of” for the acronym.
Literally translates as Socially Transferable …Embuggerance..
( “Aandoening” can be several things in english, from disease to disadvantage, but it’s *always* one-way, negative, chronic, and debilitating in some way.
Literally: “that which you do to someone else”.
Murder is *technically* an “Aandoening”… but it’s too ..acute.. to be considered part of the concept.
Anything that doesn’t kill you immediately and is caused by someone/something else is ..fair game..)
edit: The closest you’d get in english with an actual verb is: to perpetrate….
Except that one implies faculty and intent, whereas “aandoening” can be wholly unintended. like ..second order effects..
Turns out this traitor clown is fully aware that the world she describes is/was real.

Punchy three minute video by Paul Joseph Watson. Very worth watching, especially if you’ve fallen for the gaslighting and don’t believe there is an English ethnicity.
My local MP, sadly. But she’ll be out on her ear at the next election. This constituency was never Labour territory, and it was the Tories really fucking things up that pissed everyone off so they held their noses to vote her in. With a bit of luck it’ll go Reform next time.
Sadly, also the local MP for Yoxford where I have my second home/holiday let and live for nearly half the year. My Labour MP is the oleaginous Peter Prinsley (BSE & Stowmarket) – a seat Reform should also take…
it was the Tories really fucking things up that pissed everyone off so they held their noses to vote her in.
Ah, the old Tory-Labour mutual hand-shandy.
Accepting that you actually live there, not sure people held their noses so much as they were so keen to punish the Tories that they inflicted this sort of idiot on themselves. This says nothing creditable about the Tories but I’m not sure they realised how awful a Labour super-majority would be.
It’s ridiculous that anyone can become an MP on 31.7% of the vote. Two thirds of the voters don’t want you. And you really can’t even extrapolate that some of those people will be OK with you at that level.
The USA makes their FPTP system work with primaries. So you whittle it down to the preferred lefty or righty. A bit more pro-business Republican in California, a bit more guns and Jesus in Arkansas. So you don’t get a Republican and a Guns’n’Jesus party standing. The vote outside the two main parties is generally a few percent.
I think the “right” in the UK really needs to stop fucking around. The Conservatives, Reform, Restore need to get together. Maybe have some gayboy Conservatives in London, Bristol, the Cotswolds, but in the industrial bits, have some more Reform-ish people.
I think the “right” in the UK really needs to stop fucking around. The Conservatives, Reform, Restore need to get together.
This!!
Indeed, but before that happens the Tories really, really need to have purged the last of the LibDem infiltrators and got rid of Dougie Smith. They simply cannot be trusted with any of that old guard still around.
They must also close the door on their Net Zero subsidy-recipient donors, which include a lot of their traditional upper ranks. This is probably their biggest problem.
100%.
That’s the gayboy quotient WB referred to which, in reality, is and has always been most of the party.
I mean, how the hell does David Davis cope? He’s like a desert island in the middle of wets and gayboys.
So, ner. The Tories aren’t the Right, nor are they part of it. That’s the whole problem with them, that they make occasional Right-ish noises so that dullards vote for them.
But not any more.
To win in electoral politics you need to build a coalition. [That is axiomatic.]
And coalition building involves compromise. [By definition].
Being ideologically uncompromising results in division.
A divided right cannot win, so it leaves the left to rule (while the right savours its ideological purity)!
So the choice is a rightist coalition or years of leftist totalitarianism. Which would you prefer?
Oh, I’ll compromise. 30+ years of being ground down has taught me that much.
But I won’t do it with people who betray everything and everyone who supports them. What would be the point?
I think this is one of the things you do not get: my problem with the Tories is not particularly a policy problem. I know they say all sorts of things which I might find attractive. Fine, jolly good. But since I do not trust them, that does not matter. Because they won’t do the stuff which sounds good. Character matters, before policy. The Tories are oleaginous, spavined wretches. Their only character is that of preening betrayal.
Despise Angela Rayner though I do (and I really despise her, at a microbial level), I respect her commitment to her base. She does not give a shit about proprieties. She wants to ban her opponents and their funding, and she is quite open about it. She sucks up funding from people who make her their gimp. And the rest of us pay the price. But she is loyal to the clan that she and other progressives have made. They are warlords, carving up territory under the camouflage of elections whose respectability has been propped up by the Tories.
And if, as does seem likely, the people of this country want more socialist totalitarianism (and I am glad that I have at least converted you to perceive that reality), then that is what they deserve. I will have done what I can, which includes never, ever having voted for Labour’s WD-40 and its comfy chair: the Conservative Party. Not even in 1992, when I was first eligible to vote. I am proud to say that I sensed the rottenness of the Tories, even then.
…since I do not trust them, that does not matter.
All political parties are untrustworthy! It’s in the nature of politics – not just “events, dear boy, events”, but limited governmental ‘bandwidth’ and much more…
…the people of this country want more socialist totalitarianism (and I am glad that I have at least converted you to perceive that reality)
You haven’t converted me to that view. I don’t think a majority of British people want socialist totalitarianism, but I think we’ll get it by default on a minority vote if the right-of-centre vote remains divided.
A rightist coalition which is not a Net Zero/EU wolf in sheep’s clothing, and which will actually sort out the Blairite Blob, ECHR and remigration would do me nicely, please.
Me, too + fracking
A huge problem in this country is that the ‘Conservatives’ only attack those to the right of them while the Labour party never attack those to the left.
…the ‘Conservatives’ only attack those to the right of them…
Eh? Burnham is to the right of Badenoch?
Disagreeing in Parliament isn’t the same as attacking.
Not true, but the Tories also attack Burnham outside Parliament…
Trouble with the Tories is can’t ignore the label on the package. The preservation of the status quo. That goes against the very principle of Reform.
Right-of-centre voters want reform, not revolution. They want continuity through the necessary disruption.
And unicorns & fairies
‘Revolutions eat their children’….Because of the purity spiral – which you can see emerging on here, when some commenters hate the Tories more than the socialists.
The Tories are socialists – sometimes actively, sometimes by default.
Remember they gave us the highest tax take since WWII? (at least until the present gang came along to up the ante).
They also gave us Treason’s insane nut zero commitment.
And that is on top of bedding down Blair’s DEI legacy.
It’s not a purity spiral to notice that we’ve become a totalitarian socialist shithole in the last century or so, during most of which time the Tories were in government.
If the arrangement happened, the limp-dicks would purge themselves…
The conservative’s are ‘right’ anymore, and nor I think is Reform…
The French voting system is that, unless one candidate gets over 50% of the vote in the first ballot, the top two go on to a head-to-head (usually) a week later. The drawback is that it spins out elections over a week, but every successful candidate gets over 50% of votes cast.
Instant runoff (Alternative vote) does the same thing on one ballot paper with no expense of re-running a poll.
The primary system just ensures that voters almost always get a choice between two candidates who are very firmly supportive of the status quo.
She’s also the back of a bus, which may have something to do with it.
She has a ‘left-wing face’, shaped by resentment and hatred.
A face you’d never get tired of slapping..
You said it, Julia…
Since she is presumably female, I would not go quite that far.
But, by George, she is not eye candy.
Julia’s allowed, Dev.
Granted .
Funny how I born and raised, lived and continue to live in this version of England that has somehow never existed…
My feeling, exactly. But to metropolitan socialists and social liberals, we are fascists who must be cancelled, sanctioned and destroyed…
One of the antifa thugs I encountered last Saturday stole a book from the rucksack of a bloke wearing a Restore Britain t-shirt. The man was on a crutch, and the thief just helped himself. I tried grabbing the book back from him but he went behind some other antifa yobs and they formed a phalanx to shield him, effectively blocking my passage along the pavement.
What do we suppose the Slutty Fishwife would say about that?
Antifa are soft shites. The problem is assymetry and two tier policing. They don’t have jobs and the state protects them, so if you twat one of the gobshites you’re fucked. They know this so can act aggressively without consequence.
Yes, agreed.
Antifa are soft shites.
Not all. Some are brutes. Gan canny, as they say up north.
I don’t imagine there are many hard lefties at the local boxing gym, so where do these hard cases emerge from? Ex-PE teachers?
“Brutes” but compared with what? The problem is, so many people have lead such soft protected lives they’re incapable to standing up for themselves. Most of these scrotes depend on people being passive. If you’re not they’re more likely to burst into tears.
They have the police on their side.
They have the police on their side because they intimidate the police. There’s a lesson in that.
They have their own gyms where they train martial arts which are mysteriously never outed by undercover journalists or forced to close by landlords…:
In gyms across the country, a generation of supposed ‘snowflakes’ are biting down on their gumshields and preparing to defend their communities from the far-right
https://www.joe.co.uk/news/antifa-antifascist-fight-club-training-combat-far-right-213102
Boxers like to fight fair which is anathema to antifa louts. Street fighters do not. So the answer is a minority of football hooligans and petty criminals
My very limited experience is that they were indeed soft. As Bob says, they rely on the police being on their side, and they are I think drilled in passive provocation. So it’s very difficult work out in a scrum who was first to bean whom, and they use numbers and physical passive-aggressivity to point the finger (to an obliging Plod) at anyone who quite naturally reacts against being manhandled* by multiple bellies blocking the pavement.
*bellyhandled.
Other methods include the use of a loud hailer, by women. So, the fucking thing is in your ear, probably doing damage to your eardrum. But in the eyes of Plod that’s a peaceful protest not an assault demanding an arrest. A bit like a theft from a rucksack doesn’t demand an arrest. Or you walk down the street and a few feet away there’s some Orc shouting ‘Nazi’ at you. Now, obviously, that’s actionable but, again, to Plod, it’s ‘peaceful’.
But it’s not peaceful. It’s fucking horrible. There is no arguing with it.
However, they do just, generally, stop short of throwing a punch. They take it to the absolute limit and then, if someone snaps, rely on Plod to arrest him.
Filth. Braying morons.
But they do get their way.
“What do we suppose the Slutty Fishwife would say about that?“
Very little, as I doubt she’s ever read a book. She might have read ‘Fifty Shades of Gray’ but only because everyone else was, and she wouldn’t have understood the plot.
that should not be permitted.
A bit like Reform’s funding, then. At least as far as the Slutty Fishwife is concerned.
The Labour Party: impervious to second order effects, or any idea of intellectual and moral consistency. Everyone can write blog posts and comments about how awful they are. Point out that all those Marches for Palestine intimidated Jews. Point out that the enviroloons have been blocking roads for years. Do what you like.
They’ll ignore it completely and the electorate will periodically put them back in government. When they do get in they’ll fuck everything up. The next non-Labour government will either waste their entire term fighting Labour’s client state to put things right, or give up because it’s too hard.
The next non-Labour government will either waste their entire term fighting Labour’s client state to put things right, or give up because it’s too hard.
Cameron and May actively extended this client state. They continued to appoint the nomenklatura to quangos or museums and arts bodies.
Stella Creasy was echoing the Manchester Mattress yesterday, saying that ‘Free Speech’ is fine as long as it recognises ‘various identities’. In other words Free Speech is fine as long as we approve if it.
Designating the FDA (actually all trades unions), senior plod and the judiciary as terrorist organisations would go a long way to draining the swamp. One for Restore Britain to run up the flagpole.
No word from her on the masked thugs waving Irish flags in Drumcree right now though eh, or the masked Muslim thugs in Whitechapel last year, or the gangs of masked Muslims who were hunting white people to beat and stab in Birmingham in 2024?
Always remember that two-tier policing or justice is a far-right conspiracy theory though…
Whatever one may think of the goings-on in NornIron, the marchers won the right to march when the injunction was overturned, so what gives the filth the right to ignore the law they were (supposedly) employed to uphold and block their route with police landrovers?
This is what the BBC is skirting around in it’s usual dishonest way. The left footers were okay when the Orange Men were blocked from marching (and obeyed the decision of the parades commission) but kick off when that changes. Like free speech but only when you like what is being said.
Stop spreading misinformation comrade! Two-tier policing is a Far-Right conspiracy theory.
Do you mean the ones on the lamp posts?
Preventing a breach of the peace.
The police agreed it was an illegal protest but it was a peaceful one. Letting the two sides meet would have led to escalating violence, and clearing the way would have required video going viral around Ireland and the rest of the world of policemen bopping little old ladies and children on the head, which would have led to escalating violence. So they did what the police are supposed to do in these circumstances, which is to gather evidence of who was at the illegal protest so they could be prosecuted later.
It’s not a right to march, it’s permission to march.
And it’s a permission granted by the government and courts without the consent of the people in the communities affected. Like if the government and the courts granted permission for 1500 asylum seekers to move in to a village with a population of 358, didn’t consult the locals, and didn’t give them permission to protest.
Ireland is still a powderkeg. The job of the Parades Commission is to avoid kicking off the Troubles again. Marching through Drumcree would do that, which is why for the past 28 years they said ‘no’. I don’t know what idiot decided to say ‘yes’ this year, but they nearly started a war, and it’s only going to be by the most delicate diplomacy that they’re going to escape that. It would be like Russia deciding to move nuclear ballistic missiles to Cuba again, saying: “We got permission from the UN so it’s legal, and it’s been 64 years, surely it’s about time we all let the past go?”
Like if the government and the courts granted permission for 1500 asylum seekers to move in to a village with a population of 358, didn’t consult the locals, and didn’t give them permission to protest.
Why do they cave in to one group of ‘protesters’ and ignore the other? It’s almost as if violence and the threat of violence works…
It does.
But it goes both ways and the immiseration is universal. Tribe A attacks tribe B. Tribe B attacks tribe A in revenge. Tribe A attacks tribe B in revenge… A thousand years later, nobody remembers what the blood feud was originally about, but neither side trusts the other or will give an inch. Everyone lives in continual fear of getting kidnapped and tortured, and in continual rage over the last friend or relative who got kidnapped and tortured. Every new atrocity get committed in the firm belief that “this will show them” and be so terrible that the other side will surrender rather than continue to suffer the conflict.
We invented laws and policemen and religious tolerance and democracy because everyone was sick to death of it.
There’s no “If we do a bit of violence and threats of violence they’ll give up and do what we want and we can all have a peaceful life again” because they’ll come to the same conclusion and escalate. They you’ll have to escalate, and so on. And it will keep on escalating until it gets so bad for everyone that everyone grits their teeth and makes peace just to stop the killing. It’s a solution, but not a good one.
Start with the violence, and that gives them the opportunity to ‘crack down’. They can portray you as violent lawbreakers, as intolerant bigots, as criminals. It’s not fair. But life isn’t fair. If you want to start a violent struggle, you should expect to spend years in prison and have family members threatened and killed.
Take a look at the Irish Troubles. Take a look at Iran. Take a look at the Soviet Gulag, or the Chinese Laogai. Take a look at Africa. That’s what happens when you fight the government, or fight a civil war. It’s why people put up with slavery and dictatorships and repressive governments.
That’s why we hang onto democracy and the rule of law with both hands, while we can. Electing Nigel and doing it through Parliament will be *much* better than starting a war. We can. Many nations don’t have the opportunity.
The Irish *know* this, which is why everyone is panicking over the current situation there. Whatever fuckwit decided to play games with the truce in the belief that saying “it’s the law” would protect them and win them an advantage over the other side is juggling sticks of dynamite on a wobbly plank bridge over a lake full of orcas covered in thin ice.
I’m looking at England where organised gangs of Muslims can rape, torture and abuse thousands of English girls every year for decades and the authorities do f*ck all about it. The fact is that the violence only goes in one direction and God help any Englishman who dares to do anything about it.
The authorities are voted in by the population. The English have got something they can do about it – they just have to get their act together and do it.
We have a problem that if you decide things by violence, then it’s the strongest that wins and makes the rules and not the one who is nicest or most right, and quite likely not you or your faction, and that if you decide things by violence, then you live in a world of endless danger and suffering, as violent factions vie to commit the worst atrocities on the others to cow them into submission. It’s an unpleasant place to live.
We built a system to prevent that. The authorities that make the rules can be replaced by the population. But there are safeguards to stop just anyone using the mechanism to take over – you have to get the bulk of the population to agree, and to give them confidence that you’re better than the current lot and not just another bunch of thugs looking to beat down your political opponents.
So you first have to create an alternative that is better, and then you have to persuade everyone to vote for it, and then when in power, you have to dig out the old lot.
It’s a lot of hard work to get there and persuade everyone, and it’s a hard thing to do anyway. You’re starting from scratch and competing against groups that have been working on this for a century or more. But that’s the only way to do it safely, without destroying the civilisation you’re trying to save.
Two-way violence is not better than one-way violence. The only safe way is to make sure violence doesn’t pay, not for anyone. If they use violence and we don’t, and we can prove that and show it, that will persuade the population to trust us over them. Otherwise, they say ‘better the devil you know’.
So you first have to create an alternative that is better, and then you have to persuade everyone to vote for it, and then when in power, you have to dig out the old lot.
How’s that working out for Reform, with the PTB wanting to introduce retrospective changes in the Law to de-fund them?
Sorry, but that’s a load of bollox. It depends on the threat level you pose. Low threat level they’ll clamp down. High threat level, you can get away with most anything. Even during the Troubles they were pussyfooting around PIRA. You now have terrorists in government. Look at the kid gloves they use for Mossies.”People of no description”
We invented laws and policemen and religious tolerance and democracy to keep the people in power in power. And don’t ever believe anything else.
It’s always been like this. The King put his seal on Magna Carta at sword point. The revoked it when he could get away with it.
No you can’t. The IRA and the Catholics were in constant danger of getting caught by the loyalist paramilitaries like the Ulster Volunteer Force or the Ulster Protestant Volunteers, who did not mess around with fair trials and prison sentences in comfortable jails. There were the Dublin and Monaghan bombings, the Battle of the Bogside, The McGurk’s Bar bombing, the Shankill butchers, the Capagh killings, the Loughinisland massacre, and more.
And there was plenty of sheer nastiness that didn’t extend to killing – threats and prejudices and petty cruelties and humiliations.
The English tend to remember only the conflict between the IRA and British Army, and where they bombed things over here. But the British were not really a party to the conflict – they were just trying to stand between the two warring sides and keep some sort of peace.
We had kings and empires and ruling powers at least four millennia before we invented laws and policemen and religious tolerance and democracy. We certainly had them long before that, too – possibly for hundreds of thousands of years – it’s only that we don’t have written records surviving from those times.
The people in power use violence and threats of violence to stay in power. Do as you’re told, or be killed or worse. Tribal chieftains and warlords and kings didn’t get voted out, without bloodshed. They got deposed by invasions and assassinations and rebellions and wars. They got deposed and replaced by violence, and the people replacing them were just as brutal.
The people in power obviously use their power to try to stay in power. They always have and always will. The would-be powerful obviously seek to replace them, and occasional succeed. Laws and democracy and tolerance don’t change any of that. They only change the methods and the costs. Democracy means the powerful generally survive being deposed. In exchange, the population get to depose an intolerable ruler without thousands of them dying. Seriously, it’s a good deal.
Sorry. Link didn’t work. I’ll try again.
https://www.irishnews.com/news/northern-ireland/orange-order-must-reapply-for-drumcree-parade-as-time-runs-out-on-permission-to-march-P4WJBL73TNDXXBAQO25RT3LUCI/
There’s lots of talk about procedural errors, but it seems likely to me that someone somewhere was motivated in favour of Orange Men by unhelpful comments from the orange man. Trump’s unification intervention was certainly a potential war starter.
We had literally years of masked and hooded Pro-Pali protestors noisily demanding the demise of Israel’s Jews and no-one in authority batted an eyelid.
What we need here is more and better regulation. If protest groups were officially registered, we could a) ensure protests were valid, and b) protests could be properly organised in advance to minimise disruption.
The new regulatory body could also provide funding for “acceptable” forms of protest, so that approved protesters have sufficient food, water and other essentials.
I’d ban all protests which are about foreign politics. Nowt to do with us, so you can’t disturb the peace for it. Maybe a static display of posters, no marching, no blocking the streets or stopping citizens going about their business.
I was in Helsinki a couple of years ago. There was a march and opposition to it by a bunch of people protesting the result of an election in Pakistan. Finns were just bemused. What were they supposed to do about an election in a country with no connection to Finland?
Finland doesn’t have towns that are majority Pakistani. Yet.
Danny Tommo is being charged with impeding criminals in the unlawful execution of their duty. It’s completely political.
Now it’ll get interesting. The police can prevail against a disorganised mob. It’s a different matter facing a fit, trained, coordinated movement.
The problem is that we’ve reached a point where the politicians keep on promising to deal with this problem and have failed to do so.
Government, the police, the judiciary are about doing what the mob wants but without the chaos of the mob. But if you’re not going to do it, the mob are going to do it. And all the attempts to fight them by the state are not going to work, because the state simply isn’t big enough.
The state depends on members of the public helping them, but if the public are not going to report that their neighbour is committing a crime, the state loses.
It’s why Farage is rather naive saying that the ballot box is the right way to do things. That’s nearly 3 years away, and what if who they elect don’t deal with it? That’s 8 years. He should have just kept his mouth shut.
My guess is that the Patriot Platform protests are going to work. Certain ports are already not wanting to take in migrant boats. Keep pushing at that, keep draining police resources, and eventually, the government loses.
WB
I think that’s the plan albeit my worry is they will use undercover infiltrators to kick off and justify a clamp down – similar to the Reichstag Fire pretext in 30s Berlin.
I don’t think its possible to overstate how evil this government and its adherents are.
They can’t be bargained with
They cant be reasoned with
They don’t feel, pity, remorse or fear
And they absolutely will not stop – ever. Until you are dead.
It’s not just this government, the last lot were just as bad.
I gather there’s a policy of keeping an eye on who’s next to you at these events. Discipline & restraint are prioritised. I wouldn’t like to be an undercover infiltrator. I should think the survival rate would be very low.
I’m not so sure. The Provos were like that in spades but they were fairly effectively penetrated. They’ll need a very good internal security operation, and I don’t just mean kneecapping the backsliders.
This is more about event security. At the moment they’re about non-violent solidarity. So any infiltrators attempting to encourage violence to discredit the movement.are going to get stomped on. And police provocation is to be ignored.
Undercover infiltration depends on there already being a lot of weakness to the organisation. People who have stopped caring about the cause.
Like the FLN successfully infiltrated the French military because most of the French in Algeria stopped caring about being there. So, you get sloppy, you spend your time trying to have some fun. While on the flipside, the French barely dented the FLN, because they cared about winning.
Plus the fact that the FLN were mono-ethnic.
Don’t know if it’s a policy, or mere survival instinct. I’ve been to a few of these things now and twice I’ve heard someone utter a ripe choice of words. Hasn’t bothered me, and it was not really off-the-scale, but instinctively I did not engage with it. I can’t quite go so far as to say that I consciously wondered about infiltration, I was just automatically cautious.
Both utterers were middle-aged/elderly women, by the way.
The other interesting thing is that antifa seems to know where you’re meeting, and so they’re already there with their loud hailers and placards when you turn up. So, you get sent emails explaining where to meet. Ok, fine. Don’t know how many people receive the emails but, in the case of Restore, you’re looking at maybe 25-40 volunteers turning up. So, what, assume a couple of hundred emailed in the first place? That’s not a large number of people, so the leakiness is all the more pronounced.
That could be because Restore doesn’t police its membership, so all antifa has to do is get one of its lumps to join, or it could be that they’re being tipped-off.
The former explanation is the easier one. OTOH, remember those paddy wagons in Epping shipping the antifa thugs back to the Tube station?
Germans liked the Nazis, though. More than we like Labour.
The effect of the Reichstag fire was to hit the Communists, who were basically after the same votes. Like if Labour tried to fuck up the SNP to consolidate the vote. Knock out the commies, they vote for the Nazis instead. Which then gave Adolf a bigger share of the vote in 1933. Enough to pretty much have a majority with the DNVP. It had almost no impact on the vote of the Centre Party.
“It’s why Farage is rather naive saying that the ballot box is the right way to do things.”
Not naïve… merely prudent.
Even a *hint* of “anything else but the ballot box” will have the Blob down on him like a ton of bricks.
They’re waiting for it, and he *refuses* to say anything they can pin him down on.
You know as well as anyone else here that *right*wing Shenanigans are Evil Incarnate, while the same or worse shenanigans, including apparent assassinations, are “rightful, if misguided protests protecting our Democracy” under the current Clown Shower.
And until you can change the Rules… You have to be seen to at least *play* by the Rules.
Because those Rules include exclusion from the “democratic” process if you don’t.
Farage is between a Rock and a Hard Place, but so far he’s having them Dance.. And having the Blob expose their hypocrisy at every turn.
So he’s actually doing a pretty decent job.
Don’t forget that it took literally *decades* for Fortuyn, and then Wilders to get enough traction *legally* , through the Ballot Box, here in Clogland.
And Fortuyn got assassinated, and Wilders needs 24/7 protection….
The Other Side is *not* playing nice, or according to the Rules… But unless you want a civil war…
Even a *hint* of “anything else but the ballot box” will have the Blob down on him like a ton of bricks.
They’re already down on him like a tonne of bricks.
But anyway, a lot of people have forgotten that we almost had a Colonels moment back in the mid-to-late 1970s (‘Great Britain 75’).
Nowadays of course, our colonels are all too busy attending Islamophobia awareness courses to organise themselves in this way.
I’ve a sort of vague hope that there’s some sort of dialogue going on with right wing action groups to put people on the streets. You don’t need a rerun of the aftermath of the Referendum where the establishment effectively neutered the result. As I keep saying, learn from the left. Intimidation works.
You need to understand that the left is a united continuum. The moderate left doesn’t have any problem with leftist extremists. They provide them with a middle ground to occupy. Why politics keeps ratcheting to the left. JustStopOil activism becomes Militwat’s policy.
Thing is, the left are collectivists. This is what they do. The right are a herd of cats; organising them into anything other than a Toryboy queue for the trough is remarkably difficult.

That was due to a mistranslation – MI6 were briefed that the Leader of the Labour Party – instead of the Chairman of the Labour Party – was a KGB Agent so someone therein thought that he had to save the country from the KGB by getting rid of Wilson.
Farage “condemning” the Dover protest was unwise. There’s been a lot of popular support for that. He should learn when to keep his mouth shut. Or he will lose support to Restore. Yes of course the media will set traps with loaded questions. The trick’s in avoiding answering them.
Personally I’d settle for the civil war. Our’s turned out all right. On the other hand, the left had got to the bombing stage. You’re not quite there yet.
Not sure. I think they’ve worked so far because they’ve been sufficiently novel. The authoritwats didn’t know how to respond. They’re learning quickly.
Not sure how much of a real leadership role Danny Tommo had. But he’s off the table now so if his role was significant then the outfit might collapse.
Need to keep coming up with new things. Let the regime prepare for the second occurrence, then do something else.
That doesn’t matter. There’s another Danny Tommo, there’s 10, 50, 500 Danny Tommos to take his place.
This is like Brexit all over again, where instead of the politicians saying “shit, all these people are voting for UKIP more and more, let’s address it”, they said, “UKIP are racists and loonies” and kept trying to block it.
Calling him a racist, locking him up without bail for a ridiculous charge with a trial six months away for busting a dinghy isn’t going to get everyone to say “well, OK, let’s stop caring about immigration”. It’s just more fuel on the flames. They’re deliberately trying to ruin a man’s life. Fine, what payback are his mates going to deliver for that, and how sympathetic will a lot of people be? No, officer, I didn’t see nothing.
Every single thing the ropers do is done to intimidate, from telling us that ‘as a muslim I etc….’, wearing burkhas, niqabs, hijabs, gathering outside the mosque, marching down to Trafalgar Square to pray, telling us they will dominate the world.
Nothing will be done about this.
