It’s possible to disagree here

“Don’t think about making women fit the world‬ – ‪think about making the world fit women.”‬

Well, yes, to change our surrounding environment is the human urge. It’s what makes us successful, of course. But it also seems to be a prescription for shrieking stasis – as anyone who’s ever observed an HR department will know.

“We badly need to raise our boys more like our girls.”

No more than we should be raising girls like we do boys. There really are innate differences.

“We’ll never solve the feminization of power until we solve the masculinity of wealth.”

See shrieking stasis above.

Poisonous nonsense. The other quotes are mere word salad.

Very poisonous….

That’s what she and her ilk more or less successfully “introduced” in Western schools from the 70’s on… And still are harping about…

Funny how that didn’t work out… Yet they’re still pounding the same pulpit…

C’mon, who would you rather look at? Steinem or Susie Orbach?

Steinem. Orbach. Dworkin. All Jewish. Really, Jews can be the best and the worst of people.

“We’ll never solve the feminization of power until we solve the masculinity of wealth.”

Bit of a problem that for women, given they all want a wealthy man as a husband……….more proof that a woman’s worst enemy is almost always another woman.

But wait, there’s more!

Women outlive men. Men’s vast fortunes are inherited by their wives. The majority of wealthy people are WOMEN.

Women are set to control 60% of the wealth in the UK by the end of 2025

“Women have always been an equal part of the past. We just haven’t been a part of history.”

The thing is, men build the world that women occupy. You used to sit around in a hovel knitting and going to the river to wash clothes, and now you have central heating, Primark, washing machines, Nissan Qashqais. Almost none of that change happened because of women, so what would be interesting to say about women’s part in it?

We actually overpromote the odd women that are successful in a field. Most of the films in the “top 100 films directed by women” are pretty mediocre. There’s maybe 10 I’d pick as great. There’s a lot of female film directors that had a lot of help from men, too. Sofia-daughter-of-Francis-Coppola, Greta-wife-of-Noah-Baumbach-Gerwig.

I’m not so sure. I reckon most of this change happened because men figured out this stuff had a market and could be sold, either directly to women controlling the man’s wage packet, or to men for their women. If women wanting nice things weren’t there, we blokes would still mostly be charging around in hair shirts. It’s why lots of us like our sheds.

It looks to me as if women’s story in history is that of being luxury consumers driving up the quality and availability of nice things.

It further occurs to me that that’s why economic Marxism failed. The wimmin don’t want “solidarity”; they can get that gossiping. They want washing machines and gas fires, stockings and lippy. They want plenty of it, and cheaply. And nowadays, Instagram Thunderbirds faces.

Think of what happens when you couple up. Your possessions increase exponentially, even before you have kids. Who does the buying?

What I was meaning is that it was blokes that invented things. But yes, who were the big consumers is a fair point. It just sounds bad to say that if you’re a feminist, that women’s role was buying stuff with bloke’s money!

Why shouldn’t it be? A happy wife makes a happy life. Give her the dosh, she happily spends it, life gets better, you get some.

“happy wife makes a happy life”

people say there are no equivalents of this for husbands but there are;

“Happy husband. What’s he been up to?”

And

“Happy husband. I’ll soon put a stop to that”

“A happy wife makes a happy life.”

Propaganda, designed to get them what they want. Women are rarely happy and, if they are occasionally, the man hardly ever gets the credit.

I think it was much simpler than that, men just figured out that making things for women might get you laid.

As Camille Paglia said: ” If it was up to women, humans would still be living in trees.”

I always thought that was an odd statement. While humans evolved from ape-like creatures who lived in trees, nobody even approaching what we would term a human has ever lived in trees as a general principle. Is Paglia suggesting that women control evolution too?

What I think she meant was that if women were in charge of human societies, they’d never progress beyond the most primitive stage.

Not only all that but the women who actually went out and helped build the world they occupy? Are all in the history books alongside the men.

Right. Joan of Arc, for example. Kicked ass. There are some brilliant arts by women.

It’s the overpromotion I can’t stand “100 Greatest Films Directed by Women”. If you did the same for men it would almost be the same as 100 Greatest Films. Get past the best 15 or so, it gets into some pretty weak stuff.

Gloria Steinem killed her baby and never expressed any kind of regret or remorse for it. She died childless, after encouraging millions of other women to kill their babies too.

My favourite Gloria Steinem quote was: “Hnnngggggg….”, which she muttered before shitting herself and being dragged to Hell for all eternity.

No flowers.

It’s a 40min watch but ShoeOnHead is funny, based, and easy on the eye. Here she talks about the lunatic women who have decided that a woman who strangled her three children to death is the new awakening of the devine feminine.

I’ve not been paying attention but is this not all about diminished responsibility as a result of pharma-induced psychosis: I.e, “Not my fault, if was Big Pharma and Capitalism? And, oh, The Patriarchy”? I notice one juror refused to buy it so there’s been a mistrial.

Imagine Lorena Bobbitt and Lindsay Clancy’s Monday-night poker game in Hell.

Imagine the disease of a society in which jurors struggle to condemn these perverts.

Imagine Lorena Bobbitt’s current husband’s last thought each night before he drifts off to sleep…
