War, power games and impunity. I watched the farce that is the UN general assembly: what a tragedy, what a mess

So we’re all now free to ignore that bunch of tossers. Nesrine has spoken. Coolio!

Can we even imagine the UNGA that Nesrine would like and approve of?
Well, at least with that headline, I find myself in agreement with her. First time for everything.
Shame the article is the usual guff and pseudointellectual navel gazing of course “Wars are becoming vastly less containable through the spread, sophistication and low cost of AI and drones. They are now conducted remotely, veering between high-intensity and low-grade assaults that render their beginnings and ends less decisive.”
Clearly missed Carl Von Clausewitz back in 1832 “There is only one decisive victory: the last”
As true now as it has ever been in human history, and sorry Nessie, you weren’t the one to think of it.
Clearly missed Carl Von Clausewitz back in 1832 “There is only one decisive victory: the last”
There might be those who argue that the last victory of the Waterloo campaign was The Battle of Wavre, which was a tactical French victory but was not decisive.
To quote a phrase, “Much to agree with”…
‘International law’ is a fiction: treaties and Conventions are agreements, not statutes.
Not if you listen to the clowns in the UK government they aren’t………..
Quite. Chagos makes the UK look like a very soft touch…and so Argentina and the Caribbean follow the international law path. Such hostile actions should be met with a firm and proportionate response – hostile reactions on visas, aid etc…
Nesrine tries to blame the UAE, a relatively moderate Arab state, for the genocide her friends are perpetrating in South Sudan.
