There seem to be two definitions of “urbanized.”
One has to do with the proportion of total area that has been developed. The other has to do with the proportion of the total population which lives i such urban agglomerations.
In the U.S., Texas is said to lead by either measure (hearsay–I have no data on the matter).
Really, Gene?!? My image of Texas is of a wild land populated by solitary plainsmen (courtesy of John Ford and others). Seems I’m a hundred or so years out. Car parks and business suits don’t have quite the same raw aesthetic.
