Err, no. Everybody “who has actually had a look at the issue and thought rationally about it” agrees.
Unfortunately, there are large, vocal and unfathomably influential sections of the populace who see “City” and “tax cut” and immediately launch in to “burn the Banksters and their Tory lickspittles”.
At the saner end, this is just more ammo for IanB’s “money cannon”.
