*sigh*

All those unemployed, and the ‘Guardian’ can’t find a competent proofreader?

I don’t like Greenwald, or the shit-rag he work(ed) for.

The fact remains that thanks to he and Snowden and even said shit-rag, we now know that the scum of the state are every bit as much our enemy as any “terrorists” or alleged foreign foes. If you want to spill bile maybe you should save it for the political/bureaucratic trash who are working daily to put you ever more under their thumb.

Me Ecks, be assured, I have more than enough bile to go around…

It is a bit of a rum do that most of the leakers, such as Assange, Bradley Manning, Snowden and Greenwald are such egregious tosspots. You can go back as far as Clive Ponting or even Daniel Ellsberg to see the same thing. Maybe one day someone will spill the beans and not be a narcissistic ponce into the bargain, you never know.

in what way is Snowden or Ellsberg an “egregious tosspot” or “narcissistic ponce”?

Ellsberg is a charter member of the Chomskyite Left, which makes him a tosspot in my book. And while Snowden’s actions may have been to our overall benefit in the long run, running off to hide with the Chinese and then the Russians is hardly the behaviour of a selfless whistleblower. In fact, he has all the characteristics of a deliberately-inserted mole. It is not necessary to unthinkingly support the West in everything it does to look a little askance when its secrets are shared with such notoriously bad actors as the Chinese and Russian regimes. I think there’s almost always an element of self-aggrandisement in these things.

Mr Ecks – “The fact remains that thanks to he and Snowden and even said shit-rag, we now know that the scum of the state are every bit as much our enemy as any “terrorists” or alleged foreign foes.”

If anyone was unaware of what the NSA was doing, they had to be living under a rock. As for “as much our enemy”, our actual enemies are blowing us up. Murdering people. The only thing that is limiting the number of us being murdered is their lack of competence. The NSA and GCHQ are listening to our phones. Which is not even admissible in Court.

If you can’t see the difference between those two things, you have some issues you need to work on.

“If you want to spill bile maybe you should save it for the political/bureaucratic trash who are working daily to put you ever more under their thumb.”

Maybe. No one hates the extension and grabby reach of the modern British state more than I do, but of all the things the government does, this is not exactly the worst. Or even the second worst. Not even the tenth. The intrusion into our privacy of the centralisation of NHS records is much worse.

And yes, Snowden is still every bit a scumbag who ought to be executed as soon as possible.

If anyone is a candidate for rapid (and painful)execution it is you SMFS. If you can’t see that this cunts are lining up a panopticon that holds the potential for the worst tyranny of all time–aided and abetted by state-suckers like you then you don’t have “issues”, you are blinder than King Lear and a bigger fool than Othello.

Painful and rapid? I think you need to work on that a little.

I am sure that this is precisely what they are lining up to do. I have often said the liberal state is dead and our future is some form of soft totalitarianism. But we are not there yet. On the other hand Islamists are blowing us up. And want to blow a lot more of us up. The police arrested four this week. The future threat of the state out of control is one thing, and not a good thing, but it is a different thing to the people who are actually murdering people.

That is a distinction that needs to be maintained.

In this you are no different than the Trots who falsely equate the Gulags with Coca Cola advertising.
