Seems like a good idea

GB Energy’s promised £8.3bn budget raided to pay for small nuclear reactors
National energy company effectively loses £2.5bn to separate body tasked with spearheading nuclear renaissance

Nice to see that at least some of the money put aside for energy is being spent upon useful energy that actually works.

“…at least some of the money put aside for energy is being spent upon useful energy that actually works”

It will be wasted on bureaucracy

Tim, perhaps Dale will have an extension built to house his own personal one?

Vince’s Folly is located on Rodborough Common (or possibly Selsley Common, I forget) but in any event he has moved out after leaving his wife.

I saw the wanker recently in Stroud Waitrose, wearing a garish t-shirt which bore the legend ‘FUCK OFF’ on the back.

I told him he was a cunt, and he pretended he hadn’t heard but left and got into the back of a BMW.

I wish I’d photographed him and the car, though I suppose it would have been a leccy Beamer.

Anyway. £2.5 billion won’t go much further than the pockets of the lawyers and environmental consultants.

One of the proposed sites is near where I grew up, there used to be a power station on the site until it was demolished a while back, I remember the big chimneys coming down, there was quite a turnout to watch.
Not surprisingly there’s a group of locals aren’t happy about the idea though after the initial consultation last year it seems to have gone a bit quiet

They could usefully use all the old coal plant sites – Ferrybridge, Ratcliffe on Soar, Drax, etc, as they all still have high capacity grid links.
