We all have to suffer seeing other fat people. This daily visual assault is the externality. Aesthetics matter: if we insist on conservation orders for attractive old buildings then we shouldn’t allow our visual landscape to be degraded by fatties.
As per the story over the weekend, closing the fried chicken shops of Newham would improve the visual landscape of both the streets and the local population.
