Fairly specialist porn perhaps?

Possibly Rocco could weigh in with the professional discussion?

A transgender teaching assistant forced to quit her job after appearing in pornography could be thrown out of the profession by a tribunal.

I refuse to believe that “teaching assistant” is a profession. Other than that:

She said she had been ‘celebrating my femininity’ and declared: ‘As a feminist woman I am deeply opposed to pornography. Erotic imagery celebrates the beauty of the human body. I posed for erotic and not explicit images.’

Spouting the usual fashionable scrotals there. However:

Dr Williams, who previously worked at Llandrillo College at Rhos on Sea in North Wales, is accused of posing for 16 indecent or pornographic pictures intended for publication in an adult magazine.

Pornography is legal, indecency in a porno mag is quite obviously legal – the definition there of what is indecent enough to be illegal is pretty extreme – being trans is legal and thus all appears to be legal here.

At which point the prodnoses can get back into their boxes, can’t they?

Anyway, it all sounds rather educational. And aren’t today’s children supposed to be learning about the varied glories of human sexuality?

It depends what’s in ‘her’ employment contract. If there’s a clause about not bringing the ‘profession’ or employer into disrepute, then fair enough because ‘she’ signed up to it.

A teaching assistant with a PhD? I wonder what pivotal aspect of human endeavour was studied there.

A feminist deeply opposed to pornography shouldn’t get upset at being fired for appearing in pornography.

Fairly easily decided I would have thought.

If she had a hard on – porn

If she had a tiny shrivelled dick – celebrating the beauty of the human body

That’s a bit tricky, since it appears she worked as a model *before* she signed on with the education people. You can’t apply contractual terms retrospectively, backwards in time. So presumably this would have to mean that if you know you *used* to do something in a previous job that could bring the profession into ‘disrepute’, you can’t take the teaching job.

It seems that criminal convictions can be ‘spent’, but a former modelling career never goes away.

“It seems that criminal convictions can be ‘spent’” – to be fair, not if you are working with children / vulnerable adults.

It is very much borderline but wasn’t there a James Bond Transsexual “Girl”?

She said she had been ‘celebrating my femininity’ and declared: ‘As a feminist woman I am deeply opposed to pornography. Erotic imagery celebrates the beauty of the human body. I posed for erotic and not explicit images.’

Let’s see how many things are wrong with that – he was not celebrating his femininity as he is a mentally ill man. Who looks like a man so it would be hard to celebrate a poorly done surgical job anyway. He is not a feminist woman not being a woman, but if he wants to oppose pornography that is fine by me. However pornography clearly celebrates the beauty of the human body. So if he did something other than porn he needs to explain the distinction.

I’m with MC here. She’s abdicating personal responsibility. You really wouldn’t want your children looking up to someone like this as a role model. No wonder pupils don’t respect teaching staff these days.

“You can’t apply contractual terms retrospectively, backwards in time.”

Of course, you can; and many employers do. If I have had a relevant medical condition, or a speeding conviction, and I don’t declare it, then I could be dismissed from a job as a driver. Given the likely employment contracts in teaching, ‘she’ should have declared the modelling as a material fact.

NiV – “It seems that criminal convictions can be ‘spent’, but a former modelling career never goes away.”

I expect the education system would view a former membership of the BNP or even UKIP in the same way.

It is too late to talk of tolerance now. That ship has sailed. It has been a one-way street for too long.

The real crime here is spending all that money and going through all that painful surgery to look like a polyamorous dinner lady with a crystal meth habit.

Not even NiV would boff that.

Tim: it meets one of the criteria, to wit “all professions are a conspracy against the laity”

@NiV: ” You can’t apply contractual terms retrospectively, backwards in time.” You can if you are a government

I remember being told that if it gives the judge a stiffy, it’s pornography.
However, having led a sheltered life, if I found myself in a sexual scenario with a transgender person, I probably wouldn’t know which way to turn.

Rocco Siffredi – “Unless horses were involved”

Somewhat off topic, Iloner Staller, the Hungarian-born Italian porn star better known as Cicciolina, has an interview on the internet somewhere where she expresses her view on the fact that a google search of her name produces a picture of her doing something to a horse as the first result. What joy it must be to be her son.

The interview is more interesting than it sounds.

She is 66 years old. How time flies. She is also the daughter of a Hungarian policeman who got her start spying (which I assume is a euphemism) on Western businessmen. I hope she gets around to writing her auto-biography. It ought to be fascinating.
