I don’t know. It has its upside. As long as Leggett is getting relatively minor solar subsidies, we know where he is and what he is up to. If they stop we won’t be able to see his hands. We could get into some real deep doo doo.
Unfortunately, I don’t see this as any sign of common sense breaking out in government. More a piece of political theatre in time for a hard winter…

I cannot believe that rational businessmen based an entire industry on the words of promise from our commitment-keeping, truth-only-telling, honest current Prime Minister. One only has to look at his record for breach of promise to see he is second only to B-liar, and that only because he hasn’t had as long at the game. They’re having their fingers burnt, just as the electricity buying public are. They should go back to their day jobs as double glazing salesmen, loft insulators, asbestos removal specialists, driveway tarmac-ing, house clearances and the myriad other get rich quick scams they crawled out from.
Quoth one of the chancers quoted in the article you link: “We built a business on the back of David Cameron’s promises.”
