An actual Arab genocide

Gruesome new testimony details one of the worst atrocities of the year-long Sudanese civil war – the large-scale massacre of civilians as they desperately tried to flee an ethnic rampage in Darfur last summer.

Witnesses describe children, still alive, being “piled up and shot” by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as they attempted to escape the regional capital of El Geneina in June last year during a bout of ethnic violence in which thousands of civilians were killed.

Together, the 221 witness statements collated by Human Rights Watch offer the latest evidence that the Arab-led RSF has orchestrated a concerted 12-month campaign of ethnic cleansing against Sudan’s non-Arab Masalit tribe in West Darfur.

Of course, Britain’s own Arab Sudanese commentator, Nesrine Malik, prefers to talk about the evil Joos. As does just about everyone else.

  1. ’…witness statements collated by Human Rights Watch’

At least they didn’t have the chutzpah to call themselves something inaccurate like Human Rights Action.

  2. Children ‘piled up and shot’: new details emerge of ethnic cleansing in Darfur

This is why I’m against immigration.

  3. Indeed Steve,

How long before gang turf wars are upgraded to full-scale conflicts in order to cleanse Peckham of the wrong type of Africans.

It’ll make the Hindu/Muslim tensions in
Leicester, the ones that nobody ever acknowledges, look tame by comparison.

Mind you future election campaigns and successful candidates will be a lot more interesting – to a sociologist,

  4. As always, it’s notable that the anti-racists carefully ignore the actual racism in favour of what they think will provide them the greatest political benefit 🙁

  5. From the article:

‘Surrounded by corpses for 10 hours, Ali and the woman stayed still as the RSF continued their assault on the city.

At about 5pm, seven armed men in uniform came into the clinic, beating him and using racial slurs.

“One said, ‘We won’t kill you! We want to torture you, Nuba [an ethnic slur]!’”

Civil war, children shot, piles of corpses, torture and then, when you’d think it couldn’t get any worse, some bigot lets slip a racist slur.

    Truly, Homo homini lupus.

    Grist – Hatelessness?

The thing about Nesquik and her ilk is that she is only concerned with atrocities when they can be promoted to “issues” where there is a clear demarcation for her media-sated audience between oppressor and oppressed. Two camps of black folk in Sudan? All a bit blurry, I’m afraid.

  7. How much confidence do you have that the British authorities would lift a finger to prevent white people from being ethnically cleansed?

  8. Absolute zero Steve. Of course I’ll let you make your own judgement about the government of Oz.

Though in all fairness, I have seen reference to an utterly evil action by the present Labor government. They’ve said that they won’t abolish the use of gas after 2050.

  9. they won’t abolish the use of gas after 2050

    “Nerve”, “Town”, or “Natural”…?

  10. Possibly because Sudan doesn’t pretend to be a civilised, ‘Western’ country and nor does the British government pretend that Sudan is a ‘friend and ally’.

  11. @Jonathan. Muslim violence against fellow muslims doesn’t count in the eyes of the commentariat, whether it’s in Sudan, yemen, Libya, syria or any other shithole. Even when the chinese send a million Uighurs to re education camps – shrugs shoulders. But Jews killing Muslims – the outrage ! If you can’t see the difference then I suspect you might not be entirely un antisemitic.

  12. Do any of those countries claim to be ‘Civilised Western’ countries, and do our Government tell us they’re our friends and allies?
If you can’t see the difference then there’s no hope for you…

I assumed natural. But maybe it was nerve after all!!

  14. Jonathan

Let me guess – Hamas are the ‘civilised ones’ and their figures are always 100% accurate and they take every care to avoid harming innocent civilians?

Thanks for that – handy to know…

  15. Boganboy – Yarp, they don’t represent us.

    John – I give it 5 years.

Jonathan – Is this about Israel?

I think Israel is losing the war. Sad to say, but they seem to be dicking around in Rafah or whatever depressing shithole neighbourhood they’re bombing now to no avail.

The hostages haven’t been freed and Israel is losing support across the world. Benji Netanyahu’s coat is on a wobbly peg. Not sure where they go from here. War with Iran? Let’s hope not.

I support Israel 100% in its right to defend itself, or even revenge itself, against the monstrous attack from Hamas. But unfortunately it seems they’re doing what Hamas wanted. They’ve been drawn into a trap.

Nota Benny, if Israel was indeed committing “genocide”, they wouldn’t have these problems. I’m not advocating genocide, just saying. Instead, they appear to be a man with a hammer, trying to solve all his problems with the hammer and wondering why it’s not working.

It’s a shite state of affairs, Tommy.

Above is the Guardian reference to Labor’s gas policy, Lord Baron.

  17. Jonathan – i think we’ve had this argument before. I support Israel whilst you are an anti semite always looking to do down Israel. I won’t bother arguing with you anymore – i’ve nailed my colours to the wall, whilst you pretend not to.

  18. Are you Israeli? If not, is there any particular reason you support it?

No-one has ever given me a reason why non-Israelis or non-Jews or should support Israel. As far as I’m concerned it’s just another Middle-Eastern country who’s problems are non of our business.

  19. Van Patten, nice straw man you’ve built there…

Steve; Tim was noticing Nesquik ( nice one TMB!) not talking about Sudan vs always talking about ‘the evil Joos’ as an example of double standards. I was just pointing out that there isn’t one – unless Israel is regarded as being on the same level as Sudan.

  20. Jonathan, we are English (well I am at least ) and for some reason unknown to man, tend* to favour the underdog in a fight. The whole of the arab world want Jews dead and gone, Israel is the only remotely civilised country in the region and they don’t want to murder gays, Jews, Christians or anyone else their imaginary deity has instructed them to, so they get my vote.

And moslems have demonstrated that they are totally unsuited to be part of ‘civilised’ society, so seeing them getting a good kicking anywhere by anywho (including their ‘brothers’) makes me smile.

*Ukraine and Russia could both lose and I wouldn’t give a fuck.

  21. “No-one has ever given me a reason why non-Israelis or non-Jews or should support Israel.”

Perhaps suggests you really don’t get around or mix much?

  22. PF:

I lived in Israel for a year. It was a while ago, but my thoughts are that Israel is not perfect, but is far better than its neighbours in any way you might care to specify.

  23. Israel isn’t the underdog, and they’re helping Muslims to kill Christians:

I wasn’t aware that the religion of peace needed any help.

  24. Jonathan

Go on then, give me a reason…

I can’t believe you were daft enough to say that.

You said “No-one has ever given me a reason why non-Israelis or non-Jews or should support Israel.” That was either complete bullshit or you don’t get out much (and Addolff’s immediate response means you’ll never be able to assert that honestly again).

If you meant “never heard a reason that I, Jonathan, agreed with”, well sorry, but given some of the views I’ve heard from you on this subject, so bloody what.

  25. PF, you’re so full of it. Lol…

As for Addolffs response, it was easily shown to be complete bollocks.

  26. PF is right. Plenty of reasons are available, many are quite good. Supporting someone’s right not to be slaughtered by religious nutters who also live here seems the best one to me. If only to avoid us being next.

  27. Andrew again

“If only to avoid us being next.”

Which steers directly at my own personal reason. I regard the extremist death cult as the enemy, and Israel is effectively a front-line trench in that respect. I see it almost as a canary – if they fall, we’re one step more exposed.

  28. As for Sudan, you Brits only ruled it for 57 years, not long enough for real cultural change.

So the locals still behave much as they’ve always done.

  29. “No-one has ever given me a reason why non-Israelis or non-Jews or should support Israel.”

I’m neither a Jew nor an Israeli. I’m an American. I support Israel because Palestine is a sworn enemy of the United States. For decades, Palestinians have attacked, murdered, and kidnapped Americans. The October atrocities are just the latest example. Palestinian mobs chant “Death to America” along with “Death to Israel” and “Kill All the Jews.” Anyone who supports Palestine is supporting and enemy of the United States. Americans who support Palestine are traitors.

  30. I see ‘Jonny Hates Jews’ has been busy.

The Haaretz article he claims is about “Israel helping Muslims kill Christians” merely states that Israel buys much of its oil and sells weapons to Azerbaijan. Not a great relationship. A bit like the relationship between the UK and Saudi Arabia, for example. Still doesn’t put Israel’s hand on the trigger.

Haaretz also notes that, due to the relationship with Azerbaijan, Israel hasn’t recognised the Armenian genocide. Know who else hasn’t? The UK.

Anti-semitism 1.01: crickets when other nations do something, frothing fury when Israel does the same.
