The Trump administration is set to oversee the largest mass resignation in US history on Tuesday, with more than 100,000 federal workers set to formally quit as part of the latest wave of its deferred resignation program.
….
The mass exodus is the largest single-year decline in civilian federal employment since the second world war.
More, eh?
Is this being reported as if it’s a bad thing? Reducing the size of the state without having to look like the villains by firing people seem like a small bonus at the very least. If at least some of these government workers follow up by getting a real job that would good for productivity as well.
Have they run out of soros-backed federal district judges blocking anything that orange man wants?
“…it is clear that the Trump administration’s goal is to turn the federal government into a toxic environment where workers cannot stay even if they want to.”
Splendid idea! Is Reform listening and taking notes?
Government-sector workers have made dealing with the State toxic for the rest of us.
One of the high points of TheTrumpEra, as accredited idiots call it, was the revelation that all the paperwork that covers individual fedgov pension entitlements lives in a deep cave and that the rate that the paper (paper!) can be accessed is governed by the capacity of the lift.
I howled with laughter. The stupid cnuts hadn’t even organised their own pension records intelligently.
Not dissimilar to the nhs with its reliance on cardboard patient files and fax machines.
They work better than the IT.
Cardboard patient files *ARE* information technology. The technology is words written on cardboard, the information is patient records.
I fink you get me drift. My fledgeling doctor complains of waiting 15 minutes for an ancient PC to log in. No wonder they all squirt patient records around on WhatsApp.
When a PC takes 15 minutes to log in, it’s very likely that it’s using Microsoft’s roaming capability (in AD) that has been badly implemented. Someone needs to introduce the admins to the clue stick …
It used to be that every now and again you’d read about someone considering buying a second hand car. They’d open the boot and find it contained a hoard of NHS patient records.
Quick, Donald! Cancel deferred resignation program! You don’t need it! You can soon just fire them!
Federal workers are heroes!
Says federal workers union. Reagan tried to ban unionization of federal workers. The mere fact they are unionized declares they are not heroes. It’s about them, not you.
There’s not much I admire about the fascistic FDR but at least he refused to allow unions for federal government employees.
Yep. That’s about it for FDR. And banging Lucy Rutherford.
